The HTTP access logs reveal that AMiracleForEllie.org has been “spidered”, or looked at and logged by at least three Web search engines, including Google and Yahoo. Search engines such as this use automated Web “crawlers” that log site information for their searching databases. Go ahead - go to google.com and search for the term “Ellie Willaert” - AMiracleForEllie.org comes up in the top five search hits.
Well, it took a mildly frustrating sojourn into the cryptic annals of PayPal settings and a huge book on PHP and MySQL, but Online Donations to the Ellie Willaert Benefit Fund are now live!

Hi all - Sorry for not posting in several days. I have just a quick update this morning. I’ve got most of the functionality to allow people to donate online via PayPal up and running. There is one glitch (just one?!?!) where once you are done with your payment it takes you back to the main A Miracle For Ellie page instead of the page I designed for donors to submit their name and a short message about their donation so that we can recognize them. I’ve submitted a trouble ticket with PayPal and as soon as I get some answers I’ll go live with Online Donations.
In the meantime, Niki has updated the journal on CaringBridge so please check that out and please send prayers and thoughts to Ellie and her family. Also, I’ll be posting the information I have from what was a VERY successful spaghetti dinner benefit in St. Peter last Saturday. I’ll try to get to that over lunch today.

Hi folks. Good news - AMiracleForEllie.org is working on getting set up with PayPal, linked directly into the Ellie Willaert Benefit Fund. Please check back in the next few days for a Donation link or button on the front page.
Also, I installed a more robust calendar to the site, although it’s not configured yet. It seems as though it will provide extensive timekeeping functionality similar to client-side office programs like MS Outlook or Open Office. I hope to have it linked into the main part of the site soon, but there are a couple of technical hurdles I have to overcome first.
